"The EP/Album, “A Little Unhinged, A Little Bit Weird” is officially coming out October 14th!

My heart races with anxiousness as I scan over the finishing touches. It doesn’t feel like it’s been 10 months since this project began. However, in some ways it feels like a lifetime ago. It’s fitting how, now that it’s finally time to release these songs, I’ve finally let them go as well. They had such a big hold on me at one point. The way I wanted them to come across, the way I didn’t want them to sound and the people I didn’t want them to hurt.

My nerves still take over me in moments though. What will folks take from this? What is the overall message?

At each end, is a new beginning. It’s an album about letting go to make space for the next step of life. Letting go of relationships, the idea that I could change people, letting go of addiction, and an old self that no longer served me. I went into this with some acoustic folky sounding songs. The final result is alternative/indie/folk/rock. A few spoken words making an appearance throughout, backed up with trippy software instrumentation. It truly is “A Little Unhinged, A Little Bit Weird”

I’ve come to accept that it may not be everyone’s cup of tea but hopefully, there’s something in it for everyone.

I’m beyond excited to share this with all of you!! Rob Wilson (Cats Cove Media), you are a genius producer, patient collaborator and one of the most driven individuals I’ve ever met. Many more thanks/credits and details to come, but for now (you know who you are), Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

Anywho, I’d usually proof read over this ridiculously long novel of a post and try and make it perfect. However, I’ve just settled into a tiny cottage, on a tiny island off of Nanaimo. Time to recenter, disconnect and find some inspiration for the next string of songs. If something is calling to you, don’t shy away from listening. Your gut is usually always right. Much love to you all!"
